Man, was this an amazing couple of months for records or what? What with the two new blazing Robert Pollard albums, Jens Lekman’s unbelievable Night Falls Over Kortedala and Fishboy releasing what may stand up to be one of the best records of the decade… let’s just say that I honestly don’t know what I’ll do if all those upcoming year-end lists say something about this year’s crop of releases being disappointing. The best part is that there’s still two months worth of stuff coming this year that might further blow our minds.

That being said, this edition of Mixes For You is pretty stellar, if I may pat RetroLowFi on our collective backs for just a moment. Take a listen to a mix that flows like honey over a bagel, and please… rush out to buy records by any of these artists if they tickle your fancy. I mean, Oink is dead, so you might as well start buying albums again, right?
